The Race is Over

Wow it has been a long time since I have had access to my computer. I still dont have a modem for the new house so I dont have access to my blog(grrrrrr). For those of you that dont know my cat was also pregnant so I decided it was a race as to who could deliver 1st and she beat me by 2 weeks. She had 5 kittens and they are all doing well. I had to take her to the vet today and she has an ear infection so I am doctoring them. Here are a coupld pics of the little ones....

As for me I am still pregnant but I am being induced March 2nd. My doctor is going to put me in the hospital on the 1st. I also found out that I am a week futher along than I thought so my due date is actually March 11th but due to the gestational hypertension they are taking him a week early. Im super excited that we are that much closer to meeting the Lil guy! I have a baby shower the next 2 weekends and then he will be here. Only problem is Im still on bedrest and everytime I disobey I get busted because I swell so bad if Im on my feet for as little as an hour. Thank God I have an amazing husband to get everything lined up for Coltons big arrival. There is still so much to do but Im not stressing over it. Im just trying to take it day by day. I finally decided on which brest pump (thanks to Erin!!) and I bought it so thats I less thing to worry about. Little by little everything is falling into place and I wouldnt have it any other way. Well I have to go but hopefully yall will hear from me a bit sooner than this time.

Bedrest

Well my doctor finally said the words I have been avoiding to hear "You need to be on a full time bed rest". So I get to do this all day...

Im not real happy about it because I have never been one to lay around but its best for Colton so I do it. Doctor says that I have gestational hypertension and will not be able to carry him over 39 weeks. I have to go to the doctor every Tuesday and Thursday for an ultrasound and to be closely monitored until they induce me. I could be induced any day now or up to 39 weeks. I am also dealing with really bad swelling which is not real fun but oh well. I also think I am losing a little bit of amniotic fluid which has the doctor very concerned so thats another reason I am being monitored closely. I will keep yall posted on all of this. So now I have a nursery that has to be painted and set up and a house that needs to be unpacked but I cant help. I thank God every day for Joey because he works 4 jobs but yet when he is home he is non stop on getting things dones at home. I just feel bad because I know Im NO help. On this note I am going to lay back down! Hope everyone is doing well!!! :-)
